Midnight
Rodeo Goes Green !
Koster
Design provides complete LED system for famous Springfield,
MO nightclub.
The original
lighting system consisted of 180 pinspots, some of which were
20 years old. The system was controlled via multiple 'Touch
Dimmer 12' panels that hooked into telephone patch blocks,
then ran through telephone wire, which were then connected
to 120v solid state relays... basically switching the circuits
on or off... no dimming.

ASSESSING THE SITUATION AT MIDNIGHT RODEO
Koster
Design completely removed all analog aspects of the existing
system and installed a new state of the art light show. Controlled
by a High End Systems RoadHog going into a Doug Fleenor Splitter,
then out to well over 50 Chauvet COLORsplash 200B RGB LED
Color Mixing Fixtures, 8 Chauvet Thruster Strobes and multiple
"wiggle lights" that are controlled via Doug Fleenor
Replay Packs.
Kelly
Koster says, "Everyone was amazed that 50 fixtures could
produce more light than the 180 they had previously. Also,
because of the efficiency of the fixtures, we went from using
twenty-one 20A breakers to just five 20A circuits."
Koster
Design is dedicated to lowering carbon emissions by helping
promote the use and installation of LED Technology.

GORMLEY
LOSES MMA FIGHTING DEBUT
MMA Fighter
and Koster Design Co-Owner Mike Gormley was unsuccessful in
his amateur mixed martial arts debut on Saturday, September
8th in Cincinnati. Mike's original opponent pulled a no-show
and Gormley was offered a local fighter who was 20 lbs. heavier
and came in with 10 previous boxing matches and 1 MMA bout.
Being offered the chance to fight or to go home, Mike accepted
the fight and the rest is history.
Mike
Gormley weighs in at 121.5
Jeremy
Neil weighs in at 140 even
There
were 4 main fights that were highlighted and here is a recap
of the night from one MMA media source:
UG resident Mike "Moose
Knuckle" Gormley was left without an opponent after his
original opponent pulled out. A replacement was found - however,
it must be noted that this replacement was nearly 20lbs heavier
than old Moosey, and also had a number of boxing bouts under
his belt. Still the old battle-hardy Moose gave it his best
against the young boxer going back and forth with the bruiser..
lasting into the second round.. eventually losing to a sneaky
and immoral neck-crank.

During Round Two
Gormley's bout was the longest
bout of the night for all UG participants going midway into
the 2nd round.
Moose said after the fight,
"I want to thank Jeremy for stepping in so I could have
a fight... he is a great guy and a great fighter. I also want
to thank all my sponsors including Koster Design, Creative
Stage Lighting, A-1 Audio and Gladiator Mouthguards. I also
want to thank the guys who trained with me, especially Greg
and also my "crew" who came to support me... Kelly,
Aaron and Jon. This was an amazing experience... I see what
I need to work on, and don't be surprised to see me fight
again soon!
