Joomps was initially conceived as a talent-oriented new approach to social networking. Its main purpose was to provide an opportunity for talented individuals to connect with businesses – and for organizations to find a perfect match for their new career openings or projects. Instead of showing the traditional portfolios, Joomps offered a unique concept of showcasing the individual's talent in any creative or hands-on area.
